[/av_textblock] [av_textblock] Grid Integration of Photovoltaics: Challenges and Solutions
The Greek PV GRID workshop discussed the latest results of the project and the recommendations made by the various participating countries regarding PV integration in their grids. Eighteen (18) participants, including experts and representatives from the Greek DSO (DEDDHE), the Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE), the national Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE), the Ministry for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA), Greenpeace, and energy scientists attended the workshop.

The opening session provided an overview of the PV GRID project and introduced the audience to its scope, logic, approach and results. The Policy Advisor of HELAPCO made a detailed presentation of the barriers identified as well as the recommendations of the project. The Vice President of HELAPCO presented all available technical solutions to enhance PV deployment at the distribution level, and the DSO representative made a detailed assessment of these solutions and prioritized them in the case of Greece. The Workshop concluded with a plenary discussion on feed-in management, curtailment, demand response and storage.
