General information
PPC Renewables is a 100% subsidiary company of PPC and has been pioneering, both at national and European level, in Wind and Solar Energy since the 80s. PPC Renewables is the only company in Greece that develops all Renewable Energy Sources (RES) technologies.
Today, with 37 wind farms, 19 small hydro power plants, 36 photovoltaic plants and 1 hybrid system, with a total installed capacity of more than 660 MW, PPC Renewables has positioned itself dynamically in the Greek renewable energy sector and is creating the foundations to lead the country’s energy transformation.
In 2022, the company’s energy production amounted to 485.968 MWh, contributing to the avoidance of 446.297tn CO2, and its gross revenues to approximately €40.6 million.
Photovoltaic Systems
Currently, PPC Renewables’ portfolio includes operating photovoltaic plants, with a total capacity of more than 350MW, including the largest photovoltaic cluster in the country, with a capacity of 230MW in the Regional Unit of Kozani.
Furthermore, the construction of additional photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of about 1.8GW has started or are about to start promptly, including the flagship photovoltaic project “Oricheio DEI Ptolemaida” with a capacity of 550MW, which is one of the largest photovoltaic projects in Europe.”
