General information
ABO Wind is a project developer for renewable energies with more than 600 employees. Since 1996, the company has developed and sold wind, solar and biogas projects with an output of three gigawatts, half of them as turnkey projects. The company is currently working on the development of new projects with a total capacity of twelve gigawatts, in 16 countries, on four continents.
The ABO Wind experts provide assessments, handle the approval process and financing, and take care of grid connection and construction. ABO Wind takes on all steps of project development, from site acquisition, to construction and, finally, technical and commercial operational management. Moreover, in order to contribute to a successful and comprehensive energy transition, ABO Wind´s department for hybrid energy systems develops hybrid energy solutions and implements energy storages.
Photovoltaic Systems
ABO Wind has been active in Greece since 2017 and founded the subsidiary ABO Wind Hellas S.A. in early 2018. Since its establishment, ABO Wind Hellas has participated successfully with 95 megawatts of solar projects in the auctions organised by RAE; 45 megawatts of these projects have already been constructed and are currently feeding to the grid. ABO Wind is working on further projects in Greece, with an output of several hundred megawatts.
