Revoil, listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since January 2004, is one of the biggest oil-trade companies in Greece, holding a market share of 10%. It trades fuels and lubricants through its network of affiliated gas stations under its brand-name which currently results to over 500 points of sale across the country.

Revoil’s business strategy centers on sustainable development, which will maintain the company’s competitiveness over time by taking advantage of opportunities arising from the energy transition. A key pillar in the company’s development plan, in the context of cleaner forms of energy, is its involvement in the field of Renewable Energy Sources (RES).

The country’s energy transition is in full swing, and Renewable Energy Sources are at the core of the strategy for a future with less carbon. The production of electricity from RES in nowadays occupies an increasing percentage of the total energy mix, with solar and wind energy being the dominant sources of production.

Photovoltaic Systems

The company is following a five-year plan aimed at operating RES projects (solar parks, wind farms, and storage units) with a total capacity of 200 MW.

Currently, the following parks are operational (connected to the grid) with a total capacity of 14.34 MW:

  • 1 MW solar park in Evia
  • 10 MW solar park in Thiva.
  • 3.34 MW solar park in Arcadia

Additionally, the following have been fully constructed and are awaiting grid connection:

  • 3 MW wind park in Boeotia
  • 9 solar parks of 1 MW each (4 MW in Boeotia, 3 MW in Stylida, 2 MW in Northern Evia)

Under environmental licensing procedures are wind parks with a capacity of 124 MW in Rodopi and Boeotia, and a 24 MW storage unit in the region of Nafpaktos.

The company is continually searching for opportunities to participate in the acquisition of active or under-construction projects​.
