General information

The JUWI Group was founded in 1996 in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, and since the end of 2014 has been part of the group of companies of MVV Energie AG, one of Germany’s leading energy companies based in Mannheim. We employ more than 1,150 employees worldwide. We have subsidiaries on all continents and are actively involved in various projects around the world.

JUWI has been one of the leading experts in the field of green energy for 25 years. We develop, finance, construct and operate renewable energy projects, and we also offer Engineering, Construction, Procurement and maintenance services to third-party projects. Our activity focuses on wind & solar energy projects as well as hybrid solutions with energy storage. To date we have designed and built 2,000 Photovoltaic Stations with a total capacity of 3,700 megawatts and 1,200 wind turbines with a total capacity of around 2,900 megawatts. We operate and maintain PV Plants with a total capacity of 2,500 megawatts, Wind Plants with a total capacity of 1,430 megawatts and storage systems of 13 megawatts.

JUWI Hellas SA was founded in 2008 and since then has been one of the pioneer companies in the Greek market. To date, we have built PV Stations with a total capacity of ~320 MW, including one of the  largest PV Stations in Southeast Europe with a power of 204MWp in Kozani. JUWI Hellas successfully operates and maintains PV Stations with a total capacity of 275 MW, while it also serves as the Remote Monitoring Center for the group’s EMEA projects with a total capacity of 650 MW.

Our projects generate a total of around 9 billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy per year, which is equal to the annual demand of around 2.6 million households, thus contributing significantly to the reduction of greenhouse gases. Within 25 years, JUWI has mobilized funds exceeding 9.5 billion euros for the completion of RES projects.
